Early voting starts in Louisiana on Tuesday, October 23 and extends through Tuesday, October 30, closed on Sunday, October 28. The hours each day are 8:30 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. In Caddo parish early voting will be conducted at the Registrar of Voters office, 525 Marshall , Suite 103 in downtown Shreveport across from the east side of the courthouse. Voters in other parishes should contact their parish Registrar of Voters for information. Voters must go to the parish of their registration to vote.
Voters should bring identification with them such as a driver’s license, special Louisiana i.d. , governmental i.d., etc. Voters should expect to wait an hour or more for early voting. The three minute time limit for voting which is a state law will be enforced in early voting. Copies of the amendments will be furnished to voters in the early voting line to help speed up voting. Voters who will need assistance in voting must furnish a doctor’s letter stating that need and bring it with them to the polls or have furnished it to the Registrar’s office previously.
All voters in Caddo Parish will be eligible to vote for President, Congress, nine constitutional amendments, and the school board term limit proposition. Some voters will also vote on the Court of Appeals Judgeship contest as it is a subdistrict election.

Other elections will be held in some of Caddo’s smaller municipalities.
