Last Day to Register to Vote for the Presidential Election: Monday, Oct. 8th

MOBILE VOTER REGISTRATION MAY 1- 18 at Caddo Libraries

The Caddo Parish Registrar of Voters office will conduct mobile voter registration at Shreve Memorial Library branches in the parish between May 1 – May 18. Any Caddo resident who wishes to register to vote, change their voter record or inquire about the upcoming Presidential election schedule can do so at a mobile site near them.

Citizens will need their identification and proof of residency in Caddo Parish to apply to register to vote. You can also register to vote online here. For information on voter registration or mobile voter registration sites, please call 226-6891.

April 21st Election Update

Here are some scattered notes about Saturday’s proposition election…

273 voted “in person” during early voting, 742 ballots have been received back in the mail through Wednesday.. here is the breakdown: 503 Democrats, 436 Republicans and 76 other/ no party voters…744 are white, 260 are black and 11 others have voted or returned ballots. All early votes are counted by the Board of Election Supervisors starting on Saturday afternoon (3:30 p.m.) at the Registrar’s office and released no earlier than 8:00 p.m. on election night.
 
Polls will be open from 6:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m. on election day at the regular polling sites. If you are unsure where to vote, go to caddovoter.org and click on “Where Do I Vote?” or call 226-6891.
 
ALL registered voters in Caddo are eligible to vote on the parish wide propostions. Some voters in North Caddo are eligible to vote on the Fire District and/ or the hospital proposition. Both of these are district elections.

ALL CADDO BALLOTS HAVE BEEN MAILED FOR APRIL 21st ELECTION

All of the mail out ballots requested for the April 21st election were mailed prior to the start of early voting. There were 2072 ballots mailed by Thursday, April 5th by the Caddo Registrar of Voters staff. Caddo routinely has the most ballots to mail out of all the parishes in Louisiana.
 
Civilian ballots must be returned by the day before the election while military ballots may be received up until the close of polls.

EARLY VOTING- CADDO PARISH

April 21st Election- Parishwide Propositions    

Early voting for the April 21st election will be held at the Caddo Parish Registrar of Voters office, 525 Marshall, Suite 103 in downtown Shreveport across from the Caddo Parish Court House during the following dates and times:

Saturday, April 7th – Saturday, April 14th
(Closed Sunday, April 8th)
8:30 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.

All registered voters in Caddo Parish will be eligible to vote on the parish wide propositions and voters in some North Caddo precincts will vote on the Fire District # 7 and/or a hospital district proposition.
