Wednesday, March 6th is the last day to register to vote for the April 6th election for the City of Shreveport’s tax continuation proposals. Voters must have their applications postmarked or submitted by that date in order to be processed by the Caddo Parish Registrar of Voters office.
” Only voters inside Shreveport will be eligible to vote in the April 6th election so, anyone who has moved in the last year needs to check their address information at caddovoter.org. Voters can register to vote online or make changes to their record,” said Ernie Roberson, Registrar of Voters.
Currently there are 129,173 voters eligible to vote in Shreveport according to the latest figures from the Caddo Registrar of Voters office. Of that number African-American voters total 52% or 67,218 voters and white voters stand at 56,683 voters or 43.9%. Other race voters account for 5,272 voters about 4.1% of the total voters in Shreveport.
